Survivors, survivors of the victims and their families visited the site of the former camp and graves in Mirovice and Lety u Písku for decades after the war. Shortly after the war, a wooden cross was erected on the site of the mass graves near the camp. The site of the former camp itself was formerly used as a communal pasture. In cooperation with the descendants of the survivors, a new 5 m high wooden cross with a crown of thorns made of barbed wire was erected to honour all the Roma victims, symbolising the suffering they all went through here. On the initiative of Petr Petkovský, stones from Hodonín u Kunštátu and other places that commemorate the Roma victims are brought to the foot of the cross. This memorial is a symbol of reconciliation and rest.
